They are very convenient. It makes it easy to just pick up a camera and play. The white changes depending on your lighting setup and/or position of the sun. I suggest searching for a tone you like prior to beginning post production edits. They get dirty easily if you are shooting on location (outside), so have something to wipe them with. They don't scratch easily, but they do scratch. I dropped a prop on one and it created big-ol' scratch that I had to repeatedly edit out in post.

Oh my goodness, I’m so grateful for this system! I’ve had some pretty janky set ups in the past, and what I’ve found is that if it’s difficult to make content, less tends to get made and that effects sales. I’m a commercial food photographer located in Seattle, Washington. I’ve done a lot of work for over a hundred restaurants, including most major online delivery services. Since my work required not only top view shots but a lot of 45° and 30° angle shots, I was looking for a solution to an otherwise busy background. I find this plain white surface to be a perfect staple in my collection! I use this as the background and also use it to reflect light when I need to. Recently I was particularly impressed because I used fake blood on my surface, fake blood that literally stains everything, and it wiped off my replica surface like a breeze! FYI - I tested the blood on the back of my surface first to make sure that it would come off, and I also used one of the recommended cleaners.
