Prior to purchasing Replica Surfaces, I was using poster board with card stock or paper glued to the poster board. I saw these on Facebook and decided to try them. I was hesitant at first to purchase my Surfaces because I wasn't able to see or feel them in person, but I took the risk and it totally paid off! The material feels very sturdy (my main concern), and the boards really do look hyperrealistic. Setting up the "studio" is really simple, and it's been fun to do some styling with the boards as my canvas. My only complaint is that it can be hard to get the Replica Surfaces into the stands, but once you get them in, they stay in. I look forward to getting more Replica Surfaces in the future!

I had been debating on purchasing Replica Surfaces for some time, but since the pandemic has been limiting my ability to get out and take photos, I decided to take the plunge so that I could do more still life work indoors. When they arrived, I was overall impressed with their look, feel and professional presentation, and with the stands, I had my mini studio set up in no time! Of the three that I purchased, Shiplap had me in awe. Its texture looks so real, you expect it to feel rough when you touch it! I would have given 5 stars, but you do have to be careful with how you maneuver objects on the surface because they can leave scratches, as I found out during my first session with them. This possibility is fully disclosed in the FAQ, and I wish I would have read that more carefully before using them. Nonetheless, the experience would not prevent me from purchasing more, and I’m already trying to decide which ones I’m going to order next!
